Mercedes tuners, AMG have built quite some reputation for making monsters even more beasty

Every motor enthusiast in the world agrees to the fact that almost each and every model of Mercedes-Benz has a monstrous engine sitting under the hood. Whenever you floor the gas pedal, the car just grunts and gives you the feel of a monster being unleashed. But what happens when an already potent enough engine gets treated by AMG, the famous Mercedes-Benz tuners.

We found this out at the 2015 New York Auto Show where Mercedes-Benz took the centre stage with its all new SUV, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE63. If you look under the hood, you’ll find an adorable 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 Mercedes-Benz engine which is explicitly hand-built. It packs 550 horses and produces 516 lb-ft of torque. To keep this monster steady on the road, this new V8 powerhouse has been designed with handling technology. Only 4.3 seconds are required to climb to 60 mph from the standstill.

As par expectations, all these models come with high-performance engines, state-of-the-art navigation system, application integration and of course, hands-free phone system. The cabin is very elegantly decorated with upholstery that dazzles and Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Mercedes-Benz ticks all the right boxes when it comes to practicality and efficiency. The GLE63 offers the all-wheel-drive system as standard as the weight and centre of gravity are given utmost importance. All four wheels are controlled by individual dampers with the help of this new air suspension design.

Thanks to the active torque distribution system between rear and front axles, the handling is absolutely superb and comforting.

New Active Curve System; Mercedes-Benz’s new secret weapon uses active stabiliser bars and keeps all tyres in full contact with the road. There are three option to choose from Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
