As auto-market is changing greatly to the sleek crossovers and shunning the boxy SUVs out, this huge Escalade will succeed

The SUVs have always been admired and much appreciated by a large number of off-roaders as well as family drivers. This year Cadillac has launched the new luxury SUV, Escalade, which is one of the major revamped vehicles from this company with more muscular engines. As today market is changing greatly to the sleek crossovers and shunning the boxy SUVs out, this huge Escalade will succeed, we have our doubts though the 2013 went terrific for Cadillac. To keep the momentum going on, it is planning on bringing in the new products every year.

The New Escalade – first introduced in 1999 which soon became the star player for the brand – offered in 2014 is the first step towards this new approach in huge luxury SUV segment where most of its saloon lineup suffered considerable losses. Then biggest challenge Escalade has to face is the stricter fuel economy standards that led most of the motorists to change their taste to more efficient crossovers. In these recent years the luxury business has evidently become the crossover business. Look at the Audi, BMW and Lexus – lead competitors of Cadillac are no longer making luxury SUVs, rather they are up for Q5, X5 and the RX crossovers.

Cadillac has also made a crossover by the name SRX but that was last refreshed back in 2010, so instead of coming up with its new model they went for Escalade which is surprisingly astonishing. Some say that going against the current trend could actually be the key to success as the Escalade – from most of the competitors in the segment – is distinctly different. No doubt that the market of SUV is still very lucrative and Cadillac – for last eight years – has been doing a spectacular job. With this new model they are hoping to regain their leadership as the opportunity is there.
