Jaguar had initially cancelled the C-X75 850 bhp hybrid supercar but now they have decided to let the car star in Spectre, the upcoming James Bond film

We have been hearing so much about James Bond’s new film Spectre and most of us are really anxious to see this movie make its way to the theaters as the news broke out  that 9 cars out of the 10 made were stolen from Germany. We have also heard that the script of the movie has also been stolen by online hackers.

It has been learned lately that Aston Martin DB10 was crowned as the car for the new Bond film but what about the villain? What kind of car would he be driving? Well, this honor goes to the Jaguar C-X75, a project which was cancelled earlier but now the engineering work has started to make the car perfect in terms of meeting the requirements for the film. This car is the perfect choice as it ties neatly with Jaguar’s campaign “Good to be Bad.”

Right now the C-X75 is powered by a hybrid powertrain but it will be powered by Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0 litre V8, when it will make its way out of the production line. There is no official announcement yet on which cars are going to take part in the filming process, but the speculation are that it would be none other than C-X75.

For all those who don’t know anything about Jaguar’s relation with James Bond movies, it has already made its appearance in Casino Royale” which was released in 2006 and featured XJ8 and XJR, driven by the villains. That’s not all, the Jaguar XKR battled with Bond’s Aston Martin Vanquish in 2002 blockbuster, Die Another Day.

Like Jag’s campaign title “Good to be Bad”, Aston Martin has been hash-tagging “Good to be Bond” to indicate its involvement with the bond movie.
