Audi Offers the A3 Sportback as One of the Best Audis, it is Swift to Drive with Good Looks

The all new Audi A3 Sportback offers the big improvement over the models it replaced. In this new model Audi has extended the wheelbase by 35mm for elongated boot and space on the rear seats.

Audi A3 power options

All new Audi A3 comes with a choice of six-speed manual and S-Tronic dual clutch automatic transmissions.

The Couple of Sportback trims to available with only S Tronic transmissions such the 1.8-litre TFSI Quattro and the RS3.

Surprisingly, the S Tronic gearbox offered in the 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre engines, while the RS3 has been offered with the 1.6-litre TDI engines. The S3 e-Tron has a 1.8-litre TFSI engine with both 2.0-litre TDI as an option and a six-speed manual as standard.

The Sportback is predominantly a front-wheel drive but on the 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre you can opt for an all-wheel drive Quattro as an option. However, it is standard on the 1.8-litre TFSI, the S3 and the RS3.

Audi A3 petrol engines

Audi A3 petrol engines are impressive and surprisingly efficient with the manual six-speed transmission. On the low resistance tyres, 1.2-litre TFSI claims around 58 miles per gallon of fuel economy.

This engine emits around 114g/km of carbon emissions. On the S Tronic transmission, these figures improved to 59 miles per gallon and the carbon emissions will be reduced by 4g/km. Even if you like to ride the bigger wheels, with regular rubber, the engine still promises a great 56 mpg with any gearbox offered. It has a claimed carbon emission of 119g/km with the manual gearbox and 118g/km with the automatic transmission.
