With a retro-inspired styling, Scat Pack and Shaker trims, Dodge have taken Challenger to a whole new level

At the 2014 New York Auto Show, Dodge presented the new Charger with extreme make over and now comes the 2015 Challenger packed with a mighty 6.4L V8 Scat Pack engine churning out 485 horsepower, Shaker trims with more retro inspired styling.

Dodge is very determined to make Challenger the inspiration for everyone thus you will notice the iconic 1971 in it. The major changes consist of a new split grille, projector fog lamps and a much larger power plant promptly visible to feast your eyes. The classic split LED tail lamps are still there but with Gloss Black trim this time to further inspire you, to make things even more classic, a completely redesigned rear valance panel is there, giving this 2015 Challenger a more lower and wider look.

On the inside you will find the old 71 motif but with aluminium gauge bezels and a high sill centre console. The modern touch is pretty evident from the 8.4-inch U-connect infotainment system which has a 7-inch customisable display. As a standard, all models will have electric power steering and stability control system. The speedometer and tachometer are retro-inspired. Other safety upgrades consists of a forward collision warning system, there is blind spot monitoring, an adaptive cruise control, and rear cross path detection system.

This new model will be coming with TorqueFligh 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard on complete range. Dodge has announced that it will add new 6.4L Scat Pack and Shaker models where the Scat Pack will incorporate a 6.4L V8 from the Chrysler with a power upgrade of 485 horsepower and torque will be 475 lb-ft. It will be offered with paddle shifters in six speed manual or the eight speed automatic transmission.

6-piston Brembo brakes on 20-inch wheels are responsible to put this beast to a stop. With all that might grunting and rumbling under the hood, Dodge is very confident that it will do 0-60 mph in mid four seconds and a quarter mile sprint will hopefully be in low twelve seconds. This package will also include Gloss Black split grille surround, HID head lamps and bumblebee tail stripe.

When it comes to the Shaker trim, it will have a 5.7L or a 6.4L V8 with cold-air intake hood scoop. The suspension system it will be using is Super Track Pak with sports eats and black graphics package.
